The other day I took the time to read through ALL of the BoaB threads, and I must say WOW. Your attention to detail and the time/care you have put into this project is absolutely mind-blowing. You definitely inspire me to want to go out and tinker with my Newport. No matter what I do, there is always something else I can do to make it better. It's a never-ending cycle. Keep up the good work and I cant wait to see it when it's all finished!

I'm a little late on this thread of yours but really appreciate the tme you took to photograph and write your updates.
A note on the exhaust manifolds. I've used an Eastwood product called Stainless Steel Exhaust paint, or something like that. You have to have a clean surface but it simply brushes on and lasts forever and looks a nice grayish silver with no gloss. I've also used it on the intake manifold crossovers before painting them and believe it helps slow down the burning off of paint on the intake.
Great attention to detail on the fuel pump being painted too.

Thanks!! !thumb I am just an amateur enjoying a hobby. Growing up building 1:24 model kits,I learned to pay attention to details. Now I am building a 1:1 model,LOL!! !stars
Never too late to read up on the 6 years of slow progress on the BoaB. !study My neighbour supplied me his POR15 exhaust manifold paint leftovers from his resto project.I wanted to give it a try. If it burns off,so be it.It did not cost me a penny.

THANK YOU! As I had said in the past,I am humbled by people's comments, and also others have said I am an inspiration to others in this unique C body world of ours. I agree that there is always something else to do to make things better. That is the challenge on the C bodies where aftermarket and restoration support is next to little or nothing. You can do anything when you put your mind to it.
It has been 5 years since I bought the car.It will get finished--just not sure when. Many others cant wait to see it done--including my loving and understanding wife. In the famous last words from Polaraco..."Is it done yet???" Again thanks!

Well, things have been busy around here, and nothing's been done on the BoaB since September. I bought a station wagon!! 1973 Plymouth Satellite Custom that Ross set me up with. I have been driving it all over hells creations loving the 3 speed on the tree trans. Been using the waygun for partss chasing too. It has already made deliveries to Joisey with parts down--and back! Plus Toronto with parts for john66ny I finally found a good set of strut bars that were not bent, and NOS strutbar bushings with sleeves included. So,I am hoping to finish the front end before enfd of year and get the motor/trans back in. it is funny how much room the motor takes up when out of the car.
