Get these headers while they're hot, the price has already gone up to $145 at Summit...
Well, now there $160 at summit, and the coated ones are now $437... Jegs says $150 plain and $437 for coated.
The interesting part is that Summit lists them as having a 2.5" collector while Jeg's lists it as a 3" collector while everyone here that has them says the collector is 2.25"...

Passenger side needs a few tweaks...collector is real tight to the tbar, but actually works ok, as the motor torques over, clearances actually get better. I did have heat and beat the hell out of the #6 tube to clear the plug and iirc I still had to put the plug in before the header could be bolted up.
Dana, I just double-checked the Hedman online catalog. They list #78070 as the shorty headers, and #78030 as full-length headers. You got me all confused. !stars

The number for the shorty headers is 78070. I put the shortys on my 62 without a problem. I noticed in Herman's engine photos the floating power mounts. With my floating power mount I had a slight bit of contact between the header and the mount. I didn't want the heat from my headers to cause my mounts to fail so I put a small bit of header wrap in that spot. Lets see if I can find pictures of the headers.
Could only find the pass side. One note with the E Heads I needed to put 90 boots on the 1, 2, 7, and 8 cylinders. If Herman's reading this 'What car do you have?'

I think I'll ask Herman if I can borrow a set to see if these really will fit the Imperial. I'm still sceptical, especially since I dont want to take a gamble for $437 + shipping + import duties...
