I am installing these Firm Feel neoprene bushes in the upper & lower control arms on my '70 Sport Fury, along with the uprated T bars, Bilsteins and sway bar.
Before I do though I am a little concerned that as they are solid bushings will they make the car ride too harshly, rather than just tighten up on the stock ones? Can anyone share their experiences with me?
The roads here in the UK are in pretty bad condition, but they are also full of corners so I'm trying to find the right compromise.

After talking with a few 70 Fury owner's who had changed over to polyurethane bushings and found them noisy and harsh, I had my front end rebuilt using softer stock bushings.
My car being a convertible (stiffened frame) and 440 (heavy duty T-bars, springs and front sway bar) actually handled very well exactly as delivered. [ Edited Sat Apr 23 2011, 04:15PM ]

The other thing about polyurethane bushings is that they have a tendency to squeak. Yes, they are firmer and more positive but sqeaking gets old quick!

The hot rod never squeaked with a full poly front end. I even drove it from DFW to Green Bay, WI on the Hot Rod Power Tour without hearing a peep all week.
