Thanx guys. I'm just interested in a cruiser and that 20 to 30 H. P. isn't all that big a deal so I will sell Uncle Joe the right manifold and go with the origanal log type manifolds. [ Edited Mon Nov 03 2008, 07:16PM ]
Remember that when you put on these manifolds and good duals (with an H pipe) your fuel mixture will become too lean. You'll be pumping more air in and out of your engine without an increase in fuel. You will need to go up a few jet sizes or else you will notice pinging at light-moderate throttle and your engine running hotter.
Mopars are not quite as sensative to this as old Fords, and this problem was seldom seen on Chevies because they had those huge fuel wasting Rochester Quadajets on even their smallest engines.
