1) Traded the Chevy T-10 for an AMC T-10 - waiting for delivery. 2) Got a good rearend in the trade - can't get it out of West Virginia. 3) Working on Son's Gremlin keeping me away from my Newport. 4) Newport rear starting to make noise. 5) Still want to yank motor to check on piston slap. 6) Got great buy on set of headers and intake manifold for Son's 401! 7) Mercedes is still a piece of junk, but it gets me to work everyday. Actually, I have little to complain about, but wanted to add to the thread.

You want to talk windows? I added power windows to my convertible last summer, figured that as long as things were apart, I'd do a good clean/lube/adjust. The passenger side rear quarter, just didn't want to adjust right. It was either too far in at top or bottom, or it was too far out in the middle and sticking half way up/down. The front track was bent, so I had that out and straightened it to match the other side, still no good! About day 5 I actually compared the two sides, and realised that somewhere in the past someone had "fixed" the window and used the wrong rollers!!!!!! putting it a 1/2" too far from the track.
Right now, nothing to complain about, but that's because the car parked. Come spring it will all begin again!
Time and weather are holding me back. We are trying to get things together enough to get in to the World of Wheels show March 17-19 in KC. I think I have my top found, but I haven't had the time to finish prepping the top frame for paint. Also need to get the dash back together from chasing a short. And the exhaust tips. Carb could use some attention. There is a nasty rattle in the exhaust. Grill is still out. The narrow axle is still sitting in my garage unpainted.
1- Transmission still has no reverse...line pressure is good, suspect broken band 2- Charging system not charging 3- Ammeter shows charge while actually discharging 4- New Yorker is still outside while I finish 4wd Ramcharger in garage 5- 4wd Ramcharger still not done so I can sell 2wd one 6- Weather too warm for ice fishing 7- No money to fix any of above (due to trip to Hawaii, so all is not bad) 8- I couldn't even name 10 items
Lots of very minor problems, thank god. Just not enough time to work on the car, given the new son born a month ago. Plus, I'm holding out until it's warm outside.
1. Dead Battery, unsure about alt. 2. Rust around rear wheel well corners, various dents, dings and scratches all over quaterpanels and doors & rust hole in trunk floor extension. 3. New grinding noise from starter. 4. Dry wax caked all over in the cracks and crevices from the slathering job the previous seller put on. 5. Dripping trans and oil pans in need of gaskets & subsequent filthy oily sludge all over the bottom of the car/engine. 6. Cracks in the vinyl upholstery of my front bench (not too serious yet) 7. Original trunk mat dry rotted into a fine power all over the trunk floor. 8. Needs a complete brake job, & I just LOVE working on drums... 9. I love my 'C'!!!!!
