Nelson, for your engine? I would go with nothing but a CUSTOM MADE oil pan! Nothing factory C body is gonna work good even modified for 1,000 +/- BHP! Time to use more of your "engineering creativity" like on your other motor parts! Tony P.
Upon closer inspection, I need an oil pan immediately.
So, I went ahead and ordered the 7 quart / 7" sump pan off ebay dealer as recommended by blairboy3 and mentioned in this post earlier. I will report back with my approval or disapproval rating. Who knows, this might be a really fortunate find for many of us.
By the way, I also run a three quart Accusump oil accumulator system in the Fury. So, if this pan fits and seals correctly, I may be good to go. At least this will give me some time to fabricate a custom dimension one.
Thanks for all your responses... Jyrki, you out there? What pan are you running in that VIB (Very Important Beast!!!) ?

If it turns out to be just the Zerk fitting on the idler that hits just remove it & put a plug in & see if that clears. You can always put the Zerk back in to grease it.

I've got a 8 quart pan in mine, made it myself. It works great at least in mid 10 second passes. If I ever get a digital camera in to the garage, I may take some photos.

I just used the Milodon lo-pro 7 qt pan because Milodon assured me it would fit an A-body and by default it should fit a C-body. After putting it in my New Yorker I found out that as long as I didn't want to make any right turns that required more than 1 turn of the steering wheel, it did in fact "fit". I removed the pan, engine in car (NOT FUN) measured how much of a hole I needed to cut in my shiny new gold pan and off to my engine builder/fabricator extrordinaire we went. He did a lovely job of making the pan look like it was built that way. You know that carpenters addage about "measure twice cut once"? Words to live by. Off with the pan again (EVEN LESS FUN) The knuckle had lots of room but I didn't allow for the arm itself (made the hole too short). My brother and I (mostly my brother) make the necessary adjustments and found out that the adjustment now interferes with the stroker windage tray and about this time I'm asking myself, why didn't you just buy a B-body? Luckily a little bit of heat wrench and a little bit of ball pien hammer and the necessary clearance on the tray is obtained. The idler now has about 1/2" clearance top and bottom and it swings into the sump about 3" approx. The "window" used up almost a quart of capacity assuming full was to the bottom of the tray.

Ok, got pics of mine. As you can see, it's not a show piece, but it works. Function over form! I have also slightly modified the K-member for more "square" corners in the rear. but here is the pics of the pan:
