Here is what you call using what you got. This is the early stages of the r/r lower outer 1/4 skin. Lots of different curves in one piece. The old exhaust pipe and the steel pipe inder the sheetmetal were used to make the propr contours. No repro sheetmetal here-just brains and brawn..

This piece will be welded to the extension afterwards. It was worked hard with the shrinker/stretcher. Here we are test fitting for the right curves. We also fitted the fender skirt afterwards to make sure the lines match up...A very complicated piece that must be right. Unlike some of more popular Mopars, this car has more curves and twists in this area. This pic show the curves better than the last pic.
The upper portion of the quarter-above the skirt- will have to be a separate piece. It will be tricky making that concave panel..

Thank you very much! !thumb The praise and encouragment really keeps me going. We are just taking our time and enjoying our time working on it. The mechanicals are a breeze since most parts are still available or interchange from B body cars. The body panels-on the other hand as we all know-are not in repro. So all the sheetmetal has to be hand fabbed.....
It's interesting to watch Ray use a 39 year old tailpipe to form a panel... [ Edited Tue Jan 16 2007, 08:23PM ]

Winter has finally arrived here in these parts.-22 degres celcius and the snow has stayed on the ground. The shop is too cold to work in.It is 5 degrees celcius in there.Too cold to paint. We had a nice run of mild weather here for a while. We will be in the shop this weekend doing more sheetmetal work-hopefully-if it warms up... [ Edited Wed Jan 17 2007, 08:49PM ]
