Ardog wrote ... Hey Lea how is the interior on that two door?? I know you want the power guts but I'll take the seat and the manual track from the BoaB if they are half way decent. Nice score btw!!!!! !thumb

If you, or one of your fleet has a spare marker light retaining nut, I could use that....
Wha? none out there in the West coast rust free belt?? PM me your addy and I will send ya one.It will not be purdy being exposed to Ontario salt winters, but it will work. The only painful thing is the busted knuckles stripping it for parts--and paying for it and towing back home.. Leaburn

Monday July 9th Just a few little things going on. I am taking this week off to do some odd things around here and spend some time with my Aunt who is here for 2 weeks. In the meantime,I sent out the 383 4bbl intake I scored out of an abandoned '71 Charger. The car was foobarred beyond recognition. I also scored a good running 750 CFM Edelbrock carb from James. He has no use for it now that his car is barely street legal LOL.He tested it and it runs good. That should make the BoaB's 383 breathe nicely. Other good news is the parts car I scored has fairly new exhaust and gas tank. !banana That alone will save me $$$$$ I was going to send out my tank but now it will be a spare-just in case. BTW,the parts car is running and drives.Even the brakes are in working order. More good parts!!!(drums I hope are in spec for DOT safety) !banana Hopefully, this week,Ray will have time to seal up the welds in the rear window frame. Then I can proceed to assemble the arse end of her I will make time to jam on the new R/F ball joint and get the wheels back on her. Later this month,Polaraco and I are going to finally get to meet each other.Rbrogle passed on a set of shocks to him for me.(score!)Plus Stevo will have the leftovers of the 300 to pass onto me as well. I have a bunch of NOS schtuff for the green Polaraco for him as well... Then later on the BoaB will be back on all four to start replacing the doors, fenders, and hood.
She is coming together real well, everybody.I want to thank all who have supported this project. But the friends I have made along the way are priceless Stev may have the Trademark on "Hobby" but he cannot patent "friendship" LOL! !nana !nana !crazy Leaburn

Rust free! Sadly not idiot free... I had the nut - and the retaining washer/spacer thing, and then I think I swept it up and threw it out along with all the other crud and flakes that gathered under the car during its rebuild. You wait, it'll turn up when I get a replacement.

I drove 876 KM's return today to see my newest parts car. She is TOAST!! Note both rear springs gone through tunk, and grass under the driver's floor.. However,it has lots of goodies that I have been looking for. Excellent bumpers, fenders, trim, etc. John will pull the motor and trans this weekend.I will have the carcass towed back here in about a week. I did take a lot of loose parts to sort through.

WAIT! there's more!!! While visiting relatives in Oshawa,my cousin told me about another '68 Newport that is for sale.It is under a tarp due to severe rust out on the roof and around the windows. It runs, apparently. The owner has some personal issues and he was unable to be reached. We did stop by to look at the car,but it is in someone else's proprty. We did not want to trespass. What do we have here??
My cousin will keep me in touch.Possibly ANOTHER '68 Chrysler coming my way...LOL

We had a long weekend and I spent some time in the Boat House with the barge on a Budget. I got the intake back from the shop.It cleaned up very well.I shot it with primer and a coat of engine paint. A good score -for FREE! Cost of hot tank, and blasting $15.00

The intake ws sitting in my pile for years before I decided to put it to use. I did not even have a car to fit it at the time! (Not shown is '76 400 4bbl under bench) Typical Mopar hoarder-you'll never know when...
