Repairing the window channel is very tedious. The outer skin of the lower part of the roof is a thin guage metal.Ray had to take time between each and every tack to avoid warping the panel. It took all day just to get this much done.
I used the inside garnish trim and outside window trim as a template and references. When you have three curves in the "xyz" you really have to make sure it is right or the window will leak..

I hope this is a help for others who have the same common problem.I have been making the strips for the lower lip and then the upper lip.We plug weld in the upper lip and butt both strips together. We then grind the weld down flat so the glass will sit properly.

I found this parts car and I will be getting it.It has really nice trim on it plus a trunk load of parts. The real fluke is the same color and interior combo.!!! !banana !thumb The present owner is taking out its vital organs.I will be getting the rest. Car is rusty. But the bumpers look good,so does the grille. The Boab's grille is pitted badly. This thing has power bench.I can use the guts and install them on my bench HHmmm.

Hey Lea how is the interior on that two door?? I know you want the power guts but I'll take the seat and the manual track from the BoaB if they are half way decent. Nice score btw!!!!! !thumb [ Edited Fri Jul 06 2007, 11:10PM ]

R,I will let you know about the interior's condition. The BoaB's seat track's mountingbolts snapped when I removed the seat from the car. However the track is smooth and the seat moves easily.

What luck to find such a great score, I only hear about something after the car was either sold, given away or CRUSHED, Man I just want to upgrade to bad luck from NO LUCK. Tom
