Gary and I will haul my Fury along with all it's sundry parts to Paul with Gary's 24' enclosed trailer. Gary has very generously agreed to haul my stuff if I buy the fuel. Awesome deal, thank's again Gary!
Paul will fine tune my bodywork and shoot the final paint. He will also assemble all the bits and pieces, trim, hardware, etc. Also he will look after the engine and power train. He estimates late summer or early fall completion but I've let him know there's no screaming rush. Paul has free rein to do whatever he deems to be necessary to do the job right. !thumb

This is the only before picture that Colin had of the car as his computer had crashed, I believe it was the day he drove it home, then pulled it in the garage and started working on it .

Well my build is officially done and I would like to thank everyone who followed this thread for their encouragement and compliments these past 7-8 months, I hope you enjoyed following along as much as I did documenting the process.
The end of the "new beginning" started on May 11, 2013 when Bill (Fury440), his wife Susan, daughter Heather and I loaded their Fury into my trailer for the long trip south to Idaho. Bill's Fury will take my Windsor's place in Paul's shop where the final phase of its' long journey will start ... but that's another thread, right Bill??
Bill, Susan and I headed out early on Wednesday May 15 and arrived at Paul's that afternoon, after some quick introductions and pleasantries I finally got to see my car 100% complete, sitting along side my Challenger which I had Paul do some freshening up on as well. Needless to say I was blown away, I couldn't have been happier by the final outcome, it was a brave step to muscle-car a Windsor but if I don't say so myself, and I will, it WORKED! Of course it couldn't have happened without the amazing talents of my good buddy Paul ... that's Paul on the right of the picture with Bill on the left.
We picked this particular May weekend because it happens to coincide with Sandpoint Idaho's, Lost in the 50s car show weekend which starts on Friday night with a parade of cars through town which we participated in, followed by a car show on Saturday where they shut down the entire downtown area. I entered my Windsor in the "Classic Cars 1966-1969" category and won FIRST PLACE, the 3 runner ups were a Mustang, a Chevelle and a Camaro SS .... talk about a coup! The Challenger won 3rd place in its category of "Muscle Cars through 1975).
That's me on the left holding the Windsor's First Place trophy and Paul on the right (unceremoniously holding the Challengers trophy LOL). Attendance was down a little due to poor weather but they still had about 450 cars.
It was a fantastic weekend and it was great to have a fellow docker along to share my experience. The Windsor was packed into my trailer (and I say packed, not parked, because damn is she a big car), strapped down and arrived home in Calgary safe and sound Monday evening, where I promptly unloaded her and took my wife and daughter for its first drive on Calgary streets in many years.
