and a newly available wagon sender I noticed very recently ebay link I am unsure about this sender because it is listed replacing a couple of different Chrysler part numbers from 65-73 in the description and as such could have a difference from one of them. There is an NOS one on eBay, but it is 2932966 for 65-68 wagons.
I have not seen tanks, but I may have an extra 68 wagon tank. Your repair looks fine, though.
I have heard of that exhaust trick. A good idea. I felt a tingle in the hairs on the back of my neck when I saw the repair photo. [ Edited Sun Jan 31 2010, 01:26AM ]

I love the wagon! I'm reporting in with green 1972 Custom Suburban number three.
I hope the carburetor rebuild works out for you. I never had much luck with those style Holleys. I took me 4 tries to find a good one when I bought my wagon many years ago. They have problems with the casting eroding where the check ball seats, and the air horns warp from the force of the air cleaner wing nut being tightened. It looks like you're off to a real good start. It makes me happy to see quality work being done on these old boats.

Got the fuel pickup sock and float today from YearOne and got the tank back together and in the car. Started and ran first try! Idel speed is a bit high so have some adjusting to do but to go from not running to hit the key and start right up is a big victory for this project.

Just got my green '71 Polara wagon back on the road. 383 now has 650 Edelbrock, dual snorkel air cleaner, Mopar Performance electronic ignition, TTI dual exhaust, and some other stuff. I pulled the factory a/c and am now running a little hot. Anyway, congrats on the wagon-- you'll love it.
