I guess this is a criticism...but how do you do such a nice job of painting the firewall, then bolt all that dirty old stuff back on to it? I've never been able to do that.....

Sort of hard to tell from the picture but the only thing that went back on without being repainted or replaced with new was the wiper motor, still waiting on the new one. as for cleaning up the 5.7. I'm going to wait till I get it running. Then it gets a good cleaning, some new parts and black crinkle finish vavle covers.

Awesome man!! I love getting these email updates with progress updates! Wish I could have done this when I had my c-bodies. Maybe later on down the road in the future. Can't wait to see it complete!

Thanks Stareship. I got a lot of little details done over the weekend and.....DROVE the car on the trailer to go to the exhaust shop this morning to have the tailpipes made. Still a long list of things to do but most of them are easy at this point. Next on the list is to get the worlds heaviest front bumper back on the car. New rear brakes: Had to have a new power steering hose made to go from the Hemi pump to the "72 gear box. After some head scratching at the hose maker, no big deal. Made adapters to go from the tranny to AN#6 for the tranny cooler lines. Temp sender for the gage in the dash is in place of one of the block drain plugs.
