Leaburn is an inspiration. Since we pulled our engines at the same time, we'll have a race to see who gets their '68 on the road first! No way I'm spending two years on my car... !nana

I bought the pan today, so I'm going to diassemble the front end of the car to pull the motor/tranny together. I plan to repaint the firewall/inner fenders and frame rails. After I get the engine cleaned up and repained the correct color (it's red right now) and replace the leaky rear seal, I'll drop it back in on new Schumacher Poly Loc mounts. Then I won't mind getting underneather to bolt the tranny on when everything else is CLEAN.
I think I'll have the trans gone through at the same time so I won't have to worry about it for several years.

Holy crap! What did I start here?? I never realized that I was such an influence. Well, bad influence on Moparmatt (UUrrrp! 'Nudder beer??) Yes,I found that removing the radcore support and dropping the trans mount crossmember made the removal easy. I did this before with my '68 New Yorker in 2004. But this time I am going a few steps further by detaling everything under the hood. 440tntcbody,it is good to have you back! Krautmaster, good luck! We are all on the same page.

Yesterday I spent most of the day cleaning my boathouse...er garage. It was bad-so bad that I could not function in there. I pushed the car outside, organized everything, swept, scrubbed, shampooed and power washed.

With the shop all nice and clean,I felt like working again. So,I removed the fenders, and started cleaning up the frame rails and firewall. I blew out the crud out of the vents in the cowl.
