I have a 1968 Monaco 500 I would like to put new seat covers on and Legendary does not show any in their catalog for Monacos or Polaras. Is there another bucket seat cover that will fit ie; Newport or 300? Any help would be great!

turn1wonder wrote ... Hi all.
I have a 72 Dodge Polara wagon that has dealer-installed seat covers. I would like to remove them so I can sit on the factory seats, I would guess they are fastened on with hog rings. My question are, can I just take some side cutters to remove them? Also, would I have to remove the seats from the car in order to do this?
Thanks.
Bob
Great looking 72 Bob. I have 2 72 Polara Sedans. I love that front design. It's unique.

Just saw this post. Thanks for the kind words and info
I only ask these questions because with my health conditions I can't bend down/under and wanted this info to find out if I need to get my 19 year old son to remove the seats for me...though any time I ask him to do anything for me it turns into a "well I'll do stuff for you but you have to let me drive it." Dang kids, even if he is an apprentice automotive tech.

My main 'puter is FUBAR'd but I'd like to add that the reason I don't want my son Royce driving my car is because my insurance wants only drivers with 10 years of clean driving driving my GreenMoparMonster.

Dark green and olive green. Very popular from 1969 to 1973. Chrysler had restrictions on paring certain interior colors with certain paint colors, but were very liberal when it came to green interiors: green with yellow, green with tan, green with gold, and like my '69 Town&Country, green with bronze.
