First of all.. !welcome !welcome !welcome !welcome You and your 'Port will be happy here and we will make feel at home! Scratch up all your pennies, dig out under the cushions in the couch, and in the car seats.Cash in your empty beer bottles. Get the TTi 2-1/2" system from the manifolds back.Period. It has been the best mod I ever did to my C. Oh,and the Dynomax Super Turbo muffs that come with the complete kit are DEEP and QUIET. NOT cheap. But worth all the cheddar. Fit and finish.. !thumb H-pipe included.. !thumb All hardware,brackets... !thumb Choice of turn-downs or straight tailpipes- !thumb Perfromance and sound.. !drive From the day I wanted it to the day I got it took two years to afford it...and worth every damm penny!! For what I paid for,you cannot get a system custom built in your local town for the same price that fit as good as the TTi. I have lots of pics that I will E-mail you. http://www.ttiexhaust.com/

It seems there were different fuel tanks for single and dual exhaust.
Example. My 71 Fury 3 had single exhaust, the tanke is wider than butches. The same applies with the 72 Polaraco.
However, a good exhaust shop can fit duals even if you have the wide tank. I did it on the Fury, but opted to go with a large single on the Polaraco. I have a pic somewhere of the duals in the Fury, I'll edit it in when I find it
from my info on my car it says i have a 23 gal. tank.... what mufflers are you guys running??? what are the best?? i plan to keep the car mostly stock but i want it to sound deepp and kinda loud

Josh, look at the picture of Butch's car. Your's will be the same. Notice that the tank is moved toward the left of the car. An exhaust installer will need to be clever with the pipe on that side as it will run above the frame well, and not inside of it like the one on the right. They are all this way.
I am running 2.5 inch pipe to a set of Turbo mufflers. They sound great. I do not have a picture.

My car had single exhaust... they just cut off and welded up the cross over pipe and made a matching pipe on the other side to match.. I run Dynomax super turbo... They rumble a little too much inside the car when I drive slow but do have a nice sound outside the car..
When I have the MONEY... I'm going with the TTI exhaust..
I found that I got better MPG with the dynomax over the factory style..
