It seems since I started to daily drive my 72 I've been gettin alot of offers from people to buy it... as well as alot of really nice comments from people on the street. I dont have any intention to sell and really love the car, but seriously, last week i got a 4 grand offer and then last night I was offered 6 grand and thats double my purchase price...
I guess it depends on how attached to the car you are. I know I could buy something else cool for $6000 and would consider taking it (if the guy was really serious, that is). If the car was super-rare, had some sentimental value, or I just plain really liked it, I'd keep it. It's pretty much a personal preference question. A lot of help that was, eh?

People don't offer money for C Bodies too often. If there were something else you would want to buy, take the money. However, if that other car you might want is another Mopar, C Bodies are still cheap! If you wanted a Road Runner, 6 grand won't buy much.
But, 6 grand will purchase an awful lot if you want a Ford, so all is relative.
I agree with the previous post. If you want the car, keep it.

That's a good chunk of change for a 4dr, I would sell it for 6K and start looking for another C-body. You could get a pretty nice car for 6K. I looked at a mint original 70 Fury III custom wagon for $4800, 383/auto A/C, 9 pass etc. So SELL SELL SELL SELL!!!!!!

Yeah, Im in Piscataway, right with MoparKid1966, It's the New Yorker, no power options except steering and brakes, repainted, original interior.... A/C works, I thought that was a big bit of change myself, but i really dont want to go back to the 83 towncar I was driving before I got this. LOL, more likely than not im gonna keep it...
Piscataway is about 45 minutes from here in good traffic. My office is about 1 mile from the west bound exit off 80 (34A) and I live another mile beyond that.
I'll be up to my butt in 71 Fury Rust this weekend (Now the windsheild has to come out) But I could look at it Sunday. Sunday is calling for 60's Partly cloudy. I need to plan it so let me know.
Bring the kid with you too.
Piscataway? Don't they still raise mutations down there? LOL Chemical capital of the world, and you're in the back yard
