OK, Leaburn, I watched the vids a couple of times and looked at some wiring in the car and reviewed the wiring diagrams.\\\\
Not sure it all is totally clear to me yet. Here's what I "think" you're trying to say:
1) Add a wire with a fusable link going from the alternator to the starter rely...Which terminal do I connect it to at that start relay?? There are 4 terminals, B, S, I and G. I assume standing for battery, starter, ignition and ground. The B and S terminals are the only one's really accessible. I assume you want me to connect the wire to B, Correct??
2) There's a black wire going from the alt to the bulkhead at terminal P. It goes from P inside the car to a splice, and from there to the alternator gauge...right?
3) Then there's a red wire that goes from the other side of the alt gauge thru the bulkhead at Z to terminal B on the start relay.......Am I right??

BATTERY STUD ON ALTERNATOR TO LARGE STUD ON STARTER RELAY "B"

AS I SHOWED IN THE VIDEO,YOU CUT THE TWO WIRES UNDER THE DASH AT THE BULKHEAD CUT/SPLICE RED WIRE AND HOOK IT TO STARTER RELAY BATTERY STUD CUT/SPLICE BLACK TO ALTERNATOR STUD

You say use heavy gauge wire,,,any recommendation for that.10 GUAGE
You say to add fusible links to each (??) of the wires...Where can I get fusable links??
THEY CAN BE BOUGHT AT ANY AUTO PARTS STORE-SAME PLACE WHERE YOU BUY WIRE,CONNECTORS,SHRINK TUBE,SOLDER,ETC Always get fusible links two size wire smaller .I.E. 10 guage wire get 12 guage link. Yu can buy a roll of fusible link that looks like wire,or in a blister pack with a tab saying "fusible link". Hope this helps.

Or you can use one of the inline blade type fuses they make some pretty hefty sized ones also there are automotive circuit breakers, kind of look like a small rectangular flasher relay but is a breaker. use them in 18 wheelers so I know they will work well in our cars.

To make sure I'm perfectly clear....Cut the black wire FROM the alternator stud going thru terminal P and splice it to the red wire which goes from terminal J to the starter relay. This by-passed the alternator gauge.
Any suggestions now on how to monitor the electrical system??

The charging system on these cars is over 40 yrs old. These mods are required for safety as well as this update will allow you to run nore modern accessories like a stereo or driving lights. Bypass the ammeter by removing it and splicing the wires that were hooked to it together.

Add a voltmeter. not an ammeter this will allow you to moniter. And no if you cut the wires at term j/p and splice them together that wont work. the ENTIRE purpose of cuting them at the bulkhead connector is to bypass the connector due to its unability to pas sufficient current. IE FIRE so what you do is cut the red wire on bolth sides of the bulkhead connector under the hood/ and under the dash, then connect them together red to red using another piece of cable to go thru the firewall at a place of your choice just be sure to use a body grommet or you will have a short. then do the same for the black wire this will take the load off the bulkhead connectod Now also to take the load off the ammeter without removing it take a piece of 10Ga or so cable and run from the alternater "brown wire" to the starter relay BATT terminal. Not the battery itself, Remember the resistance wire? we talked about that last time. Hope this helps. VIP. !drive
