I hate to ask but, Im verry courious and wanted to know if the TTI system will work with my 73 Fury ? Im in need of a new exhaust anyway and I was checking out the TTI site and it says 65-73.....Im wanting to get headers (440) and a complete exhaust system.....I just want to be 100% shure that It will fit. I havent seen any complaints from you guys that have them on other models....
I think the TTI will work fine. There isn't a whole lot of difference in the engine bays and chassis design between the 66-73 C bodies. If you have the $$$ get their headers-I have seen them on a few B bodies and they are 1st rate in fit and finish.
I am upgrading my headers and will install the TTIs this spring. I currently have Schumacher Tri-Y headers which were fine for the 440, but it grew to 496 with Eddy heads so I need a larger exhaust port header. The Tri-Ys are 1-5/8" while the TTIs are 1-7/8".

I have TTIs on my 66 polara and they are great. They went on fairly easy and I put them on in my drive way. You should not have any problems putting them on your car.

Actually Kraut, and you may not believe this, but by me comparing the subframe "dimention" drawings from a 1966 & 1968 C body service manuals, there IS a slight difference in height and I think width. Ok, we are not talking feet here but tenths of inches. Both Dodge & Chrysler use the 47" torsion bars. Fury is different with 44" torsion bars. Manuals were 66' Dodge & 68' Chrysler.
I brought this up a few years ago when the subject of header fitting on C body cars with respect to HOOKER C body headers and CERTAIN years listed of, I think it was, 1968 to 1973 C body cars. I was using them on my 66' and figured..."why not" so I started to find out why. They fit nice with a 383. Angle plugs have been the only bad issue, but the Hooker SC's were designed well before the Eddy heads!
Bottom line is the work fine on my 66' C! Now I have heard rumblings of the Hookers hitting the master cylinder on late 60's/early 70's C's? Other than that...EASY! The TTI's are said to fit ALL well! !thumb Tony P.
I can tell you the 1 3/4 hooker super comp headers fit fine on my 70 polara.I just took them off for a set of tti 1 7/8 headers. The drivers side fit beautiful. The pass side was hitting the torsion bar. There is a clearance dimple for this from tti but it did not line up with the t-bar.After checking all the measurements they asked for the tech reps resonse was "get a large piece of heavy pipe and pry it down for clearance"!So that is what we did and it clears fine.It does however hang down an inch lower than the drivers side which I don't like. Quite frankly I expect more for a $900 set of headers. So much for advertising a perfect fit.

That's one thing I love about a stroker 383 LB over a 440 RB! !thumb Header clearence is a breeze! Shorter engine! Oh that...plus stronger block, lighter valve train (shorter pushrods-less weight), and it is a TINY bit lighter weight engine over the RB! !thumb Tony P.
PS: The 400 stroker is even better than the 383! Larger cylinder bores than even a 440! With all the extras above I mentioned....HARD TO BEAT for a stroker! Maybe my next ebgine? Tony P.

George, When did you install them? This is exactly the issue I had with them on my 69 Fury in April 05. I sent them pictures of it up on the rack and mentioned that they need to come down a 1/4". And they told me that I could return them or if I thought I could bend them to go ahead, they would still warranty them. It took myself and the shop owner, about 450 lbs combined hanging on an axle shaft to pull the collector down!! Everything fit fine after that little tweak, but the passenger side does hang down a little more as you mention. My guess this is only an issue with the 440.

Tony, you wrote exactly what I thought about the engine when I decided the combo. The 400 has all the benefits of a low block, plus the larger available bore!
I hope the TTI headers will fit with the angled spark plugs of the Indy heads, I will keep you all updated
