The low compression on that motor would make a great blower motor! You don't need GMC 8-71 on top - a Paxton style centrifugal supercharger would be just fine. And there's plenty of room under the hood of a Cbody for it!
Can anyone tell me what make s this a truck motor,is the block taller, why does it have special pistons?would 440 heads fit?I like the idea of the blower,it would have to be low profile to fit under the hood. thanks, Charlie
Well I just found out yesterday that this block is not compatable with 440 heads because the water ports in block does not match the ports in the 440 heads.Well thats not the first spontanious purchase that backfired, back to the drawing board.Got a line on a 440 w/4spd w/pistol grip for 800.00.We'll see how that pans out.C-ya Charlie
This motor has a huge waterpump that sticks out like an ugly kid with buck teeth. It has a very industrial look to it .Pump alone weighs in at around at 50lbs and has inlet and outlet ports of about 2.5 in..You like? I ll sell it cheap.
