Stevo, if you want me to say C Bodies, I would say what year? As much as I like the late 70's formal look cars, they were junk. I love the fuselage years, and the mid 60's cars, but they just did not sell well. Heck, the entire Chrylser line in '62 sold in the 160,000 area, whereas Chevy sold over 700,000 Impalas alone that year!
That's why I say this question has no answer, for each person will answer it differently.
What was the best Fighter aircraft in WWII? We might as well ask that.
The 57 Dodge was really sharp. Carl has a primered 57 Dodge sheel and his complete radical 50 chevy in Blood red setting out in front of his shop. The primered 57 draws as much if not more attention than the 50 Chevy.

I'll make this my first post here. A few of you already know form other places. There are a few that I would call best, but for different reasons.
69 Polara highway patrol (check out the poll over at that other place 2:1 Polara CHP over a green e-body) 68 340 GTS for pure balance in a musclecar 1960 300F (make mine a convertible) 69 440 GTS for brute strength in a light package (I never wanted one because you couldn't get a four speed in it).
I still like the homebuilt Mopars the best, though (440/4sp 67 Dart GT convertible).

Hey JimWELCOME!!!
Jim hit a nerve! Think about it. Scotty, I am not necessarily taking about C's, I am asking about ALL! A, B, C, K, L, M, W, D. There is one that even Chrysler acknowledged as the best car thewy ever built. I had the lowest warranties, rated the best in customer satisfaction, and had, even today, a great reputation.

For what its worth, i think there should be an add on to this question... Perhaps "best" is to broad and saying what Chrysler Product achieved its market goal the best works a little better...
Example...
If your going economy, longevity, it has to be the slanty in a vailant or dart.
If your taking the principle muscle car, gotta go with a Beeper...
Bankers Hot Rods... The Letter Series 300's
If your puttin on the ritz, theres nothing like an Imperial, you can pick the year... It was almost always the best Luxury car...
Copper? gotta go with the dodges CHP... And maybe the one from mount prospect in illinois too.
Personal Car, the Cordoba... They sold a ton of 'em And you all know ricardo montebon helped...
Style is usually personally subjective but I'll take Virgil Exners Forward look cars.... And if you'll put up with some Italian help... How about those Ghia cars, or that 1 off desoto (fire arrow?)... Really beuatiful stuff.
Best truck in the late 70's stacked pipes and all... Lil Red Express....
Engineering: Power. HEMI duh... until Sheer Power you can cope with on the street... 440/6 pack... Ride: Torsion Bars... etc...
Obviously already stated was the importance of the K's and intro of the Minivan...
Eh thats about the whole kitty for now... Maybe ill think of more.

You're off the track a bit John. . .
There is a car that Chrysler made that even they admitted was the best car they ever built. It cost them nothing more than it's mate to make, but out performed the rest as far as durability, reliability, and general I can't kill it no matter what.
There happens to be such a car. I found some dated material on the web that will answer all of this. But I am waiting for someone to come right out and say it before I post the article. There isn't much time left before it will cycle off the internet

ok then maybe its the acclaim or spirit... they were practically built from recylables... and im guessing are dourable... lol or maybe the wrangler even though technically that was AMC... it cant cost them money to build that... the platform hasnt changed in like a dogs age
Ok 71F3,ya gave me a hint there. You said Durability,Reliability and general,Ijust can't kill it.Then how about the 69-74 Polara's and Monacos.I don't think these cars had too many issues with recalls or service issues.Everything seemed to be bulletproof on these cars. The K-cars,mini vans may have saved Chrysler, but they are definately not in the,Durability,Reliabiliy and general,I just cant kill it,catagory, that my 69 monaco is in.Now the fit and finish that were on these cars may have been so-so, but my doors still shut with a "Thud" and the floorboards are still like the day they left the factory. And that's with over 275,000 miles.Glen
