Well, after much research, I decided to go with a Robbins top ordered and installed by a local shop with a good rep. It would have cost about the same buying online and going to a local independent installer. On another topic, what kind of solvent do you use when removing old trunk weatherstrip?

Woooo Hooo! Bob's fill and bleed kit worked! Top goes down and up now! Thanks Bob! Also thanks to NFURY8 and Clair as well for the great tips..........
She goes in for a new top on May 8. (My b-day) Between now and then, she goes in for a heater core leak, new belts and hoses, and installation of bunch of chrome accessories from Motorchrome in Sacramento. Check them out at www.motorchrome.com Our weather here is starting to get nice, and I'm seeing some verts with the top down. Gotta get out there!
Got the trunk done with a new repro liner, and CD changer back in. Put in a new hood pad and hood to radiator seal yesterday.
Would it help the upholstery shop with installation if I left the back seat out. I have to put on a new boot anyway...
Really enjoy the Dock! Long live C-Bodys everywhere!

Yeah if the seat is out there won't be any Mechanic's Elbows (or in this case Knees) in your upholstery! The seat back should go with the car in case they need to fit the well to it.

I used Type AF Valvoline Tranny fluid when I bled my lines. It said it was for use in older Fords, so I figured it might be close to type A fluid. i realize this is a long way from answering this thread, but just remembered.
A problem I had w/my top was also an up and down issue, changed the pump, that didn t do it.I would have to rev the engine to about 2500 to get the top to move.I never seen anyone have to do that to get their top to move. Finally a friend of mine suggested to lube all points on the top frame where the top folds up.And it worked, now the top goes up and down without the engine running.Just my 2 cents on my experience.
