Anything made in USA / Canada. I picked up one at NAPA last year but brought it back because it was made in...you guessed it China. I will not trust my life or my family's to that crap.

I guess I can check out rock auto. Its just that I spent $240 having booster dewey restore a correct booster and I dont want to ruin it with a piece of crap master cylinder.

One of the guys I work with has put in 4 fenco masters and says they're OK so I will try one. I can get it from my store for about $37.00.
Check out my new booster from booster dewey. Isnt it pretty?? All I need is one decent day off from work + a new master cylinder, and I will have power brakes working properly for the first time in many years.

I installed a Cardone remanufactured master cylinder from O'Reilly auto parts last year. $16.00 plus core charge and its been fine, although I've only logged about 2000 miles since then. I've ordered brand new master cylinders and have them show up with cracked reserviors (newer cars with the plastic reservior) so I just go with the cheapest option now. Granted, when it comes to starters and alternators, a reman part from one of the autoparts stores stands about a 1 in 10 chance of being any good.

Nice looking booster. Have used him once for the original booster in my Cougar and just sent him one on Monday. It was a very rare junk yard find of a power brake booster for a 1965-66 Ford F-100.
On master cylinders I prefer new ones over rebuilt ones. I have found many rebuilts tend to have a irregular sealing surface and leak some as a result. The one I put in my Polara, sitting in the trunk, was that type and it had brake fluid marks down the side all the time. A new master had a nice, smooth and flat sealing surface with no telltale fluid marks now. [ Edited Sun Nov 27 2011, 12:44AM ]

Weatherman says you got some big snow coming your way in a day or so, if it aint there yet. That booster looks sweet. Gonna be nice to have brakes, huh?
Glad you found what you needed. I am still surprised at how much is still availble for our beloved barges.
