Does anyone have any internal pictures of the power window regulator setup and layout for a 1965 300 convertible? We pulled the motors and regulators out last fall to replace with new Dorman motors, didn't take pictures and am finally getting to putting them back in. We tried lining the inner linings with bedliner as a rust proofing and sound deadner but have had issues there. What should have been a weekend project at best has been drug into a year project!
I've got one side mounted back in and semi right, however the motor binds terribly after going down an inch or so. I'm thinking either I don't have the regulator in right or I have the gear on the regulator positioned wrong in reference to the motor. When the window is fully up, how should the gear look on the motor? How should it look fully down?
How does the rear brace mount up? Seems it should bolt in the rear quarter panel area but for the life of me I can't find a stud coming up to mount it to.
I have a 66 Newport convertible parts car but it's a manual window car. I'm going out to the country to look at it in a few days to see if I can figure out something on it unless you guys have some pics to explain it better.
