Cam stays for now I like the bottom end on the big boat. Custom distributor from 4 seconds flat is sitting on the work bench. Transmission guy is working out a sticking valve in the valve body. hopefully be ready for the Drag strip on Wednesday night.

People underestimate how much duration these rb's can handle...you asked why it wasn't making big hp/tq numbers, that's the main reason.
My old cam was 251 @ 0.050" with 446"...I put a decent converter in it, will idle away from a stop sign like a stock 440, but it will also nuke the 11.5" ET streets on demand anywhere in low gear. I think it has enough bottom end I purposely switched to a single plane to kill some tq for the street, and at the track 60' stayed the same but picked up mph...
Understood you're heavier but also +60 cu in with a roller...

Finally ran the car today at the dragstrip. I added Full TTI exhaust and a 4 seconds flat full distributor/ignition box/wire system since the first post. The detroit true trac does not seem to be handling the power, i smoked one tire at least thru the 330' mark. ran 14.76@104 with 60 foot 2.46 on a .194 RT. Good Mile per hour, but with the excessive spinning the ET was crapola.
Monday I will call randys and see if i can figure out the problem with the tru-trac and/or swap it for a regular detroit locker.

4 dr newyorker, i think its 4650 lbs. It spun forever, I am sure there is several more miles per hour in it. I have the detroit locker installed now and will go back to the track next weekend.

Back to the track today with the newly installed detroit locker, aired down to 19 psi.....spun thru the 1/8th shifted to second car went sideways toward the wall. I wont insult you with the time. Second run, didn't even try to launch, eased into the throttle, kept feeding in throttle until it was to the floor. it seemed slow, but it ran a 13.50 at 103.6 mph. This was the last race of the year, so drag radials for next season and see if it will go 12.90. I am impressed for a 4650 lb car with regular ol' bfg's, 4 doors and power bench seat and power windows.
P.S. Some chump in a hellcat with drag radials and 500 miles on his car ran 11.20@122

The advertised times for the hellcat is 11.2 so it does what they say it would even with a chump driving. I would think drag radials should put it in the 10's.chump needs more practice !
