If you want something done right, you might have to do it yourself.from what I hear, alot guys have problems with fitment and have to do some mods to get it to fit right.maybe you could buy a do it your self kit with various bends.I'm sure the tti system could work but based on responses you may be better of calling tti for more info.sounds like you will be the first to do it.

I have had succes with the TTI system. However as mentioned, the Imp is a different bird (pun intended) Since the Imp is based on the Fusey, some things are similar to a certain degree. The longer wheelbase will require a different (longer) front pipes,and/or extension pipes. The mufflers and tailpipes should work. If anything helps, just get a kit and add pipe to it to accomodate the longer wheelbase. I would install the tailpipes and front pipes and go from there. Hope this helps.

I have a '73 Imperial that I will be fitting the TTI exhaust up to. They shipped from California two days ago. I did a bunch of measurements to compare my '73 with a '72 Fury, a car they say it will fit on, that I found in a local junkyard. From what I could tell, everything should fit. I took the gamble and ordered up the kit. The difference in my setup though is that I will also be running their full length headers. If your looking to keep the stock manifolds I won't be able to tell you how that fitup would be. I'm in the middle of reassembling the engine for the car, with a goal of having the car buttoned up and ready for Power Tour the first week of June. I imagine that I'll be putting the exhaust on sometime the week of the 20th.
I forgot to add, if you call TTI they will tell you that the system will not fit. As far as they know I will be the first person to try putting their system on an Imperial and they are waiting on me to call them back on how it goes.

Excellent! I can't wait to see how this works out !
Before you removed the exhaust system that you have did you Dyno Test the vehicle to get a "reading" and are you going to re-Dyno Test to see if there is any Power Enhancement ???

Nope, no dyno test for me. If I did it wouldn't be very helpful to show what the exhaust added. I'm going from a stock, low compression 440 to an aluminum headed, hydraulic roller cam, 10:1 compression, 505 stroker motor. I could theoretically throw the old exhaust back on and test it, but I highly doubt it's worth the time. I'm sure on the stock engine there would not have been any real gains in adding headers and exhaust, but I doubt that there is anyone on the planet who would run the motor that I am building through the stock iron logs and 1.75" of whatever size stock was, single exhaust system that was on my Imperial. There's no way that would have allowed this engine to breathe. The only thing left for the old logs is to put them on for the first few miles on this new engine so I don't "blue" the headers. Another added benefit not at all performance related that I will gain from a dual 3" exhaust is the sound that the car will make. The stock Imperial was a quiet luxury car that scared nobody in the 19.9 seconds it took to get to the end of the dragstrip. The new and improved Imperial will turn heads with just a blip of the throttle and I'm going to make an educated guess that it'll show up at the end of the strip a little faster than before.
I'm running a 2.5" TTI system with tips on my 70 3 Hun 4dr hardtop. It's a stock U Code car.At highway speeds the noise level is low...barely noticeable. TTI system are nice, they are easy to install ,come complete with muffler and tail pipe hangers and are a mandrel bent H pipe system.I'm going to throw a set of TTI tubes on this winter when it gets the 500 six pack swap.Want to save the matching #'s drivetrain ...it has 94,000 on it now and sometimes I drive it pretty hard...don't want to grenade it.And yes a stock engine will gain a fair bit of horsepower with a set of tubes ...log manifold single exhaust cars especially.Better mileage as well.
