New here, I have a recently aquired 1969 CHP Polara that has 165k on it. It was purchased from the family that purchased it from the CHP and have indicated that they have done nothing to the motor. The car has been sitting in a field for the last 30 years and is not running. If all goes well I will be getting to the motor in a few months (need to get the bodywork done first), anyway, I have no reason to doubt the previous owner and plan to look into the motors internals in detail when it comes apart. Overall this car is a very much unmolested car and every detail under the hood looks factory (minus all the dirt). The only thing that apears to have been replaced is the water pump, hoses and plug wires.
!welcome This is like the holy grail of 69' Monaco's and Polara's! GREAT find. Was this one the 69 CHP that was on E-Bay awhile back? Show us some pics and history if you could. Brent (69DH23) has lot's of info and some N.O.S. parts you may be interested in. I have a set of new in the box relacement wiper arms. (Krautmaster) has been off line for awhile but he used to build the engines for law enforcement and is very knowledgable on these. Hopefully he will chime in soon as his information is always great.

I signed up here two years ago under the user name Cuda_Al but I didn't remember that and couldn't do a password recovery, think I'll stick with this one. This car was never for sale, in short I aquired the car in August 2010 in Tulare California after the owner mentioned having it to a friend of mine Ron Hurwitz who has a very nice fully restored unit.
As we first saw it...
The 69 Monaco is available, HP 440 with AC, cruise..... and he has a 69 four door hardtop with a 360 that I think is avaiable also (DON'T even ask about the B-Body's)
Loaded for the 4 hour trip home...
Safe at home after a quick hose down
Its current state at the class in Santa Maria where I have been doing some of the bodywork...
I also have a standard 69 Polara four door sedan that I had originaly planned on using for a clone. I will be needing some parts off this car but nothing mechanical and hope to keep it intact enough to sell it as a driver.
