Another typical cruise night at Culver’s restaurant in Auburn Hills. Weather finally dropped down into the 70s tonight.
Finally remembered to get a shot of the Monaco at one of these shows.
Nice 66 convert with 318.

No tellin what you will see here! And great stories. Nobody can socialize better than old car folks. By 6:00 as I left they had over 550 cruisers come through and were parking on lawn of the motel nextdoor. All in addition to the regular diners and drive-thru customers.

Yeah I could see that. The Dream Cruise though I have never been I'm sure is in decline. I am simply floored at the amount of cars at a weekly get together.

We do have a lot of quality cars in this area. This restaurant is about 4 miles from the Chrysler tech center and the company car marshaling center is a half mile north of here. This immediate area is full of tier one suppliers and prototype fabrication companies. I worked right down the street for 15 years at a few of them over the years. Before the recession I often joked that half the garages in my sub had an old car hiding under a cover that he’ll get to some day!
Agreed! Even in Jersey you'd be lucky to get 50 cars
Here.... crickets
Really?
Just down the road from me is one of the smallest cruises around here and that's around 50 cars on a Monday night. The cruises on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday get 200-300 cars each every week. Cars and coffee on Saturday mornings are 250 or more.

The weekend is a different story. Dad goes to a cars and coffee on Sunday morning and he says it's packed. I do not know what number packed is.
Dad leads a cruise night on Wednesdays throughout the non cold months. He's had up to 80 cars this year with40 being the average.
Where I was in Jersey is Suburban America. Red lights, gas stations, shopping centers , fast food all over, 10 miles in any direction. It made for a very unenjoyable experience driving your cruiser. Especially during the rush hour 330 - 630 pm. It takes you just as long to get through those 10 miles as it does here driving 50 plus miles to the Lowes.

There is however 1 event every Tuesday that I know of on rt 70 in Jersey. A drive in / walk in hamburger / ice cream shop. The old car guys start showing up around 2pm.
