I am going to swap a 6.4 into my 1972 Imperial. The present entire driveline was rebuilt totally new in 2009. I parked the car after a year and focused on paying the house down, so low miles.
This is a very complete, drop-in solution that will magically replace your 1966-1975 car's driveline with a restored setup that only needs a few minor details to be a delight. $4500.00 for Radiator-to-Driveshaft setup with less than 7500 miles on it which is in super condition. The transmission smells faintly of strawberries.
Includes: =============== 1972 440 .030 (or was it .060?) over. New pistons/rings New bearings-all "RV" camshaft that goes all in on Torque because auto trans doesn't like revving - really good feel to it Hardened valve seats HP Mopar cast exh. manifolds + stock log ones - next owner's choice of exhaust dump. Alum dual plane intake new in box Edelbrock 750 cfm carb (needs cleaned out/funky gas but was rebuilt 2009) Custom deep oil pan that contours around K member All spinning accessories (besides AC compressor) new Recored radiator & new hoses 727 TF trans w deep pan and additional clutch pack/upgraded converter Rebuilt driveshaft Spare starter motor New motor/trans mounts New fan clutch Set of 4 2.5" Magnaflow cans and pipes that produce a rich but not annoying sound that I consider perfect. Great sound in town and mellow tone at cruise on freeway.
Engine runs fantastic and produces plenty of power. I was aggravated by the rear main seal and/or oil pan gasket not sealing 100% - that's something that can be addressed when it comes out. There is also an annoying exhaust leak that I presume is at the manifold-to-pipe.
The fool that I am spent $12,000 or probably more. I don't really want to add it all up. Engine is in the car at time this ad was written, can be run/demonstrated on the lift if it has not been pulled. I'll take a video of it running prior to removal if I get to pulling it for proof that it runs. It's a good setup, I just want "more".
AC compressor and equipment not rebuilt/touched. Compressor mechanism was free and compressed when I fiddled with it during rebuild process, but it wasn't set up or run.
I have also hoarded some misc loose parts that will also be included and loaded into your pickup truck bed at no cost - want the whole kit to move on. If you have a car and know that you need the driveline, this is a fantastic way to go. If you don't know Imperials, then you may not know my name, but I have been very active at imperial club.com since 1995. Have been around and am not known for screwing people. That being said, it's "used" equipment, so priced accordingly.
