I've measured my axle shafts and they are both 30 5/8 inch (30 spline). According to the list above, a 71-74 B-body axle shaft would be the same length. My question is, can I use it for my C-body?
On ebay for example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/230447438938 people sell Axle shafts (cut to length) for A, B and E body, but not C. There probably is something different, can anyone explain please?

Thanks for your help, Arnold.

There are quite a few parts from A, B, E, body cars which will also fit C-body cars but they are not advertised as such because most people do not care.
I was surprised by all of the different axle lengths.
What do you measure on the axle housing to determine the length of the axles that you need?

Hi flj,
I measure it like it says in the list: "measured from the tip of the splined end to the outside of the flange"
I was suprised too with all the different lengths. I had contact with the ebay seller but he doesn't sell C-body axle shafts. There must be someting different to them I guess... [ Edited Tue Jun 07 2011, 02:11PM ]
