I've got a bit of a dilema. The collectors are about 8" off-center (to the inside) from the exhaust cutouts on the trans cross-member. Any ideas on what to do? I was looking at the Heddman "S" pipes, or welding a couple of 90's together. Some pics would be a GREAT help if at all possible

Allready in the car- really don't want to mess with them now. I've been working on this project for a year & a half, and really don't want to go backwards. Thanks for the suggestion though! Easy answer! You do like I did and "snake" the exhaust pipes to go through the "cutouts" in the C body frame. I purchased the 3" TTI exhaust system. I also purchased their "adaptor" kit which has 90* bends to cut and shape from the Hooker super comps to their MAIN tubes with crossover to the muff's. I you AVOID the cutouts and try to run straight pipes just below the frame, you risk crushing the pipes when bottoming out!
Do NOT even think of bending the headers unless you like wasteing money! The TTI sight had underside pic's of a C body wagon with this system AND TTI headers. Check that as I have no digi pics of my underside yet. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! TONYPRO

Blairboy, I just checked the "TTI exhaust" site. When you get there, check the EXHAUST photos. There is a good underside pic of a 67' 300 which clearly shows what you need to do! Tony P.

Blairboy.....please keep in mind, the pic you see from TTI is THEIR C body TTI headers with the TTI exhaust system! When you use the Hooker SC C-BODY headers as I have, you must get their adaptor kit with full 90* bends and then CUT & SHAPE (with some welding of course ) those pipes to fit the Hookers. Their headers will bolt right up like in the pic's. When I was finished, my system was CLOSE to that pic, but not quite as "perfect" in a sense. More weld's I guess you could say!

I called TTI and got the same answer. I'm pretty decent with a MIG, but my buddy is awsome w/ a TIG. I think I'll heave him do it. TIG welds are just so much purdier (I know, that's not how you spell "prettier") than mig welds. Thanks again for the help guys. I was really pissed whan I realized the misalignment. @ $73, I'm going to order the TTI kit.
