I know we tried to cover this subject on the "other" C board, but did we ever decide what was the most reliable ELECTRIC fuel pump out there? I bought that RED Holley electric from my friend for $25 bucks. I was on the Holley site and the chart says that it will support 425 BHP max. I'm a bit more than that and may need a better one. Any ideas? Tony P.
Try these guys, they've got pretty good prices on a variety of electric pumps, but bank on using a good regulator. The high-pressure EFI pumps REALLY push a lot of gas at low pressures.

Thanks Butch and Clair! Dana, big thanks for responding! I had forgotten what electric you were using! This has been a HARD start to this summer....but things are clearing up! 3 weeks to the FINISH of my college degree! I'll be so happy! I just started to get RE-REVED up on the BATLSHP the past few days. I am ordering parts for the 66' soon. Looks like the first week of July that I'm on vacation will be the project get go!
I already have the Aeromotive fuel regulator and am leaning on the Aeromotive fuel pump. Not cheap.....BUT WHAT HAS BEEN....on this car! Do it right the first time! I can't stop that process now!
On the other board, a few said that the Barry Grant electrics were not 100 % reliable. The Aero's were said to be good. No one said anything about the Holley or the Mallory. I never ran an electric before.
I trashed "2" Carter mechanical's and had enough! Keeps blowing oil out of the pump breather hole at the top. My crankcase pressure cannot be that high or I'd be popping the push-in breathers right out the top! A dude on the web awhile back claimed that he found the seal O ring for the arm was pushing out of the machined groove in the pump body. It seems to fail at HIGH (over 6000 RPM) RPMs on my car! Electric will be my answer! Thanks all! Any more thought's gang? TONYPRO!
You might want to poke around on Moparts, I thought I read that the Aeromotive pump was some Walbro unit... not sure which one. No need to pay for a name if you don't have to. IIRC, Feets (runs the twin-turbo 440 Belvedere) has the scoop.

How about the belt drive mechanical fuel pump I saw a little while ago in some mag? Sounded like it had advantages over electric (such as positive shut off when the engine stops!)

July 22nd you say? COOOOL! I hope the weather holds. Yea, the BELT DRIVE fuel pumps are "trick" and all, but a tad to RACE if you know what I mean! Dana, why do you think the "blue" is barely cutting it? Did you notice high end drop off at the track? Tony P.
