Oh.....I see! Actually.....and I hate to say this....BUTT.....I'm thinking of stealing your idea and getting the "BLACK" Holley as well! Hey....your advice has always been sound in the past! Like Clair said.....why pay more for a "pretty" pump like Aeromotive with no name gutts when you can get a less $$$$ name brand that is proven! The Mallory's may be good as Butch said, but they to are not very cheap! Oh, I looked up the Holley chart BEFORE I made that decision Dana! Hee....hee! Tony P.
Walbro is hardly no-name, they're good parts and have the reputation, too. They're the go-to pump when upgrading most of the factory EFI muscle cars on the road.

Opps! Sorry Clair! I thought you meant WALBRO as a nickname for WALMART or something! I never heard of them before! Aeromotive is great as I have a part from them and it is COOL! I did not buy yet so.........you never know! Tony P.
HA! That's pretty funny... I don't guess I ever thought about it like that, Wal-anything is pretty much thought of as cheap crap, though, isn't it? I think that was pretty far from what they had hoped folks would think about thier parts!
There is a lot of variables here,is it in a 440 powered 72 Imp w/street tires or a 340 Dodge Colt w/14' slicks."G" Force and has more to do with the type of pump than anything. You can put on a blue holley pump and mount it on the stationary dyno on a Ray Barton 672 Hemi w/twin dominators and you ai'nt gonna run it out of fuel. Now put that same engine in a 1300 lb car w/a killer 60 ft launch and you Will end up leaning it out,and we all know what that means.Anything that is rebuildable is good. This is one area where bigger is Always better.NO make that two area's where bigger is better.Glen
By the way, Clair is right.Walbro has been in the fuel buisness for years probably as long or longer than holley.I've had plenty snowmobiles with them on and they are highly respected.Glen
