Finally on the truck on it's way from California to it's new home in Canada. With any luck I should have it late Thursday or some time on Friday. I'll post more pics when she gets here.

congratulations, I was thinking of looking across the boarder to pick up a good car. Is there much of a problem to get it transferred and certified in Canada?

Thanks for the good words guys. Jim, it's a good thing you didn't know because it was less than 1 1/2 hours away for you. And Robert, it is not that much of a headache to get the cars up here. Big thing is that you have to have a copy of the title and the bill of sale at US Customs at your chosen border crossing at least 3 business days before you try to export the car. They check it out and when you bring the car they check the origal title and bill of sale to the one you sent them, and if eveything is good , they will give you an export permit which you will take a few yards down the road to our friends at Canada Customs. These guys then convert you USD purchase price into CAD, calculate the gouge and screw tax, any AC excise taxes, take your money and send you on your way. Now it is between you and the province to meet the safety inspection, pay the provincial tax and get it registered. Anything after you leave customes would be the same as if you bought the car anywhere in Canada outside of your home province.

Veddy interestink! Here's a that's probably more complicated than bringing a car into Canada, 300Rag..... How does a Yankee Doodle purchase a vehicle from up there in the Great White North and bring it over the border? I'm thinking drive it out backwards so they think yer coming in?
