Alright gentlemens, I have my license back and my Fury is experiencing a re-awakening!!!
Now I have a pocketful of dumb questions for yall. Don't worry, I'll space em' out so it always seems like I'm asking one.
Up for starters is my carb. It's the stock 2-pot on the original 383. Since I "rebuilt" the carb aboot 3 years ago (meaning I bought a $5 rebuild kit and prolly dropped some of the pieces ), before I have it professionally looked after; wouldn't just switching over to a 4-bbl manifold and carb be better?
Better in the fact if I drive like a wuss it will get better mileage than the 2-pot? Or do I just really want a 4-bbl? This car is original/beaterish. I'm not looking at doing ANYTHING performance-wise at this time. She's just gotta get me to work and back.
Thanks for the opportunity to ramble. Understand I'm no mechanic either, I just try and fix sh!t when it breaks; and usually break sh!t when I fix it.

I got the stock intake manifold cheap and bought a 625CFM AFB from Jegs. Total cash outlay for car, intake and pan was just shy of $300 (I think). Car is much better to drive and does better on gas if the 4bbl is not open.
My carb needed rebuilt and the swap was an excuse for me to do some engine work on it.
