I just returned from a car show in Benecia, CA. There were several 2dr Chevy wagond 55-70. I have a 66 T&C that is pretty rough, rotted gate and quarters. I think the car is cool, but what if it was a 2 dr? Did Chrysler ever make a 2 dr wagon? What is the difference in door length between a 2 and 4 dr Newport?

You could probably make one with some imaginative fabricating. I wanted to do a 2 door 64 Valiant wagon, so I got a 2 dr parts car. With both being post cars, the entire striker post and rear 1/4 window with the piece of the quarter panel from the 2 dr could be grafted on to the wagon by cutting away the center pillar, bolt on the large front doors, set the rear post into place and weld the 1/4 window parts to the jamb and roof where the rear doors used to reside. Then, trim the 1/4 piece to fit the dogleg of the 4 dr quarter and weld it up. What stopped my idea was the amount of rot in the 2 dr vs the nicer doors on the wagon, and the easier access for family members in the 4 dr. Plus, since this car is going to be a rolling business card for my upholstery shop, the extra doors mean more visible upholstery to show off! Hope you success in your project should you choose to do it

I have been toying this idea around for some time. I would love to make my 68 T/C wagon into a 2dr wagon. I think I will pick up all the necessary parts, set of doors, Hardtop pillars and sure a few other parts as well.
Will fix up the wagon for now, 4dr is better for my young familly. Guess when the kids grow up and I retire I might redo the wagon as a 2dr, plenty of time to do fab work then.
