Thanks for bailing me out on the diagram Bill. My scanner is at the office and the books are home. I have to lug the books to the office to scan a shot like you did. One of these days.
I've always used a seal pick and a small screw driver to get that retainer out of the goove. Then I just slide it up the spline so not to bend it out of shape. Once the switch is out, you take that collar off and you are there. You can let the switch just hang.
Don't mind me, I'm just a bit lithargic and in pain from putting the sub-frame in by myslef yesterday. Oh the pain!
