Alright. Yes, I'm on here. No, I'm not staying. I was banned from Moparts 10 minutes ago for posting this in their general section. I can't find anyone who's able to return e-mails, and I'm getting people who seem to think that they can charge $100 for parts that would ordinarily end up being scrapped with the car.
I need a set of clean, used upper control arms. Any C-body from 1965-1973 should work. Budd disc cars might not- I don't honestly know. I need to get a set of upper control arms, and torsion bar adjusting bolts in the next week. I have a car on a lift and if it isn't reassembled and removed in two weeks, it will be dragged off the lift and impounded. The torsion bar adjusting bolts MUST come from a Chrysler, Plymouth and dodge Cs have different length bolts, which I discovered the hard way. There are no Cs in local yards around me, and I know they proliferate pick-a-parts in So-cal and such. I don't have any way to contact Miguel, or I'd have just asked him.
Can someone get me a set of upper control arms and torsion bar adjusting bolts for a reasonable price? $100 is not reasonable. $40-$50 is. I'm broke, and if I don't fix the car, I'm going to have another set of problems on my hands.
I'm not here to say hello to anyone or talk- I just need parts, then I'm leaving.
I would have put this in the wanted section, but I've never been on any site where the wanted section was read frequently, and I don't have three months to wait.

SWG I do know of a couple C-bodies that have been sitting for a couple of years, the engins have been yanked from them long, long age. Let me get a hold of a friend of mine and see what they would want for them. Tom

Big problem with needing parts for old cars is that even if you find the right ones at a price in your range, shipping something that heavy will blow your budget! I bought a steering wheel and it cost almost as much as it did to ship the box. If I had a set of nice control arms that I felt would be good enough in appearance and safety to know I wasn't gonna get them back with a negative feedback, I would want at least $ 75 for them to cover time and trouble! And forget about the cost if you want it shipped in a hurry.......

I concur with these posts. I will have a set of upper control arms available tomorrow, and one adjuster bolt, I need the other. But to get them to you in short order, will cost more than the $50.00 for the parts. I happen to be stripping a sub frame right now, and already have spares ready to go on a new sub frame. Or you can call 503-663-2211 ask for Larry. He has a set he just pulled from a 72 Polara. He's pretty reasonable. He's in Oregon and probably a bit closer. I know he has 3 C's there that are broken down pretty good.
Tell him the "Jersey Boy" sent you. I just bought the sub frame from him, so I know they are available immediately.
