My self canceling cam on my signal switch finally gave out after all these years.I kick myself now for not getting that extended warranty! .Does anyone know where i can get a new mechanism and is not made in Mexico,I want to have signals when i'm out cruizin for at least the next 35yrs again.Do these mechs. have to be spliced.Where do i get a good one.Napa?I find a lot of their parts are decent. This is for a 69 monaco 500.Glen
Have you taken off the steering wheel to review situation yet? Usually what you see is the little fingers break off the rocker switch. You can take a gamble on just replacing the rocker part of the switch, but I tried 3 diffrerent ones (including Napa) and none were correct. Tried to modify one, but that killed it. YearOne lists a couple, but no pics. However, if the fingers are intact it might just need cleaning.
There is someone repoping the whole switch and harness. The pigtail has the individual terminals in it. You then feed them down the steering column and pop them into the old plug. All one piece, no splices, just like factory.
I know I saw one at Hardens Both last summer. I will be grabbing one this summer, cause mine recently let go. Seems like they were about $55. I will see if I can find my catalog.

The complete assy is still available from the dealers, This is the cam assy with the wires down the colmn. This is the best fix.
Now, let me say this....the price just jumped drastically! From about 47.00 our cost to about 95.00 our cost. The ones still available at Year one & Hardens if available at the 55.00 price ( YO price as of a month or 2 ago, got 3 from them ) is the way to go. I think they must have stocked up on them to have them at the old price so get em' while ya can.
PN 2947801...might check your dealer just to see if you get the same story as we did.
This for no-cornering lights setup....69-back cars A-B-C

I have found several on eBay, and paid less than 20 bucks. The one I bought came with the harness connection. It is a lot of fun threading it through the hole in the column, but it can be done.
Check eBay. Do not buy the one that simply replaces the cam, in which you are to splice your wires on to. Those do not hit the conectors correctly. I bought one of those first - a mistake!
Have you noticed that this is not an isolated case of certain items doubling in price from the manufactuer.Seems they caught on to the N.O.S thing and i couldnt believe how some things have taken a jump.I will definately check out e-bay.I was kind of hesitant about those, so called, napa, type kits. When i took off my steering asembly to detail it, it's broken at the arm.If i gotta go to the dealer and pay 100 bucks, well its about the same to fill my tank w/so called premium 94 octane and throw in a bottle of 104 Octane boost, course thats CDN,bucks were talkin here.By the way our fuel is $1.12 cent per litre or $5.04 per gal for premium up here.Still i cant wait to get my right foot to the rugs and that holley blue pump pushin that hi test throgh that big ol thermoquad.Glen

The factory ones are still available, except for the no tilt with corner lights, which is dead. The part numbers for them are: 2947801 without tilt, without corner lamps $142.00 2857242 without tilt, with corner lamps NS1 2880829 with tilt $133.00 If you are nice to your parts person, you can probably get a better deal. Darn-near Chrysler is known to have large price increases, the 2947801 has doubled in the last few years. At least they haven't canceled them yet.
When i went to my dealership today, they said they actually had the switch in stock,so i thought, bonus, but when he told me 175 plus tax,i almost hit the floor. So now i,m checking year one and harden's.Are all of these the same,A's,B's and C's.I know where theres a good "A" switch so even if i had to use my connector to make it work, that ain't much of a challenge.Glen

I guess Canadian prices would be different. Butch, you got a good deal from your dealer, sounds about like cost +15%. I wholesale the switch for 106.50. Sounds like more of you need to be nice to your parts person! (we really are a good source of parts and knowledge)

Moparhink...You got that right! I always makw friends at the dealerships & the parts stores, You guys CAN save you a bunch of money if you're onour side. Doesn't hurt that I did work in the local Dodge Dealership back in the 70's for a short while too. We've got 2 dealerships that we deal with right here & another 2 that are just in the next towns that have Mopar Drag cars so we know all those guys too. Shoot the Mgr of the local PPG store lives right up the road & I can call her & have her drop stuff at the Garage if I can't make it up there, really nice in a pinch.
The answer to the other question...Yes they 801 switch will fit A-B-C 69-back with no tilt as said. I've perrsonally used it in a 66' Belvedere, A 69 Charger & a 69 Fury so far. Jut have to release the wires from the connector at the bottom which is doen with a very small screwdriver. You just need to either take note of the color codes where they are in the connector or it's listed in the FSM in the Steering column section.
