I am about to order an aluminum water pump housing for my 66 Sport Fury. I need to know if CVR version has threaded outlets for the larger heater hoses 5/8 & 3/4 hoses compared to the later model having 1/2 & 5/8 hose fittings? If anyone has experience with this any information is appreciated.
Well, I will answer my own question. I just received my new aluminum CVR water pump housing. It looks great. The fit was spot on and it would accommidate the early larger water fittings as well as later. It is significantly lighter and well machined, weight savings is a plus but with a 3700# car to start with it is not a neccesity. By the way I should haave the engine in by saturday the 8th and hopefully driving down to the local car show to see what the pretty cars are doing.

I didn't say anything since I wasn't familiar with the CVR housing but that's good to know....I'll file that away! I assume this is a B/RB version...like the MP units? Less expensive than the MP units? I know there's another one out there besides the MP one, guess this is it?
I hear ya on weight...I used the MP housing & pump, aluminum heads & intake .....anything to cut weight off the nose. [ Edited Fri Apr 07 2006, 10:28AM ]
Cost was only 119.00 with no shipping or handling charges. 440 source had a better price for the proform version but they were backordered till late April or later.
