Yep! PB Blaster is real good at softening up the old oils and greases in the switch.
If that doesn't work, then the mechanicals in the switch are going bad. You can change the switch and save the lock assembly so you have the same keys. Need a paper clip to change the key barrell <span class='smallblacktext'>[ Edited Tue Mar 28 2006, 05:33PM ]</span>

...which reminds me of one of the STUPIDEST moments in the recent remake of "Gone In 60 Seconds", when Nicolas Cage is trying to "pick" the ingition switch on the "Eleanor" Mustang, when anyone whose got any experience with older cars would have just used a paper-clip to pop out the ignition switch assembly via the small hole on the face.
We were laughing our asses off when we saw THAT...sorry to hijack the thread...
