Its a 64 two door 880 with a 361. When buying toys for it, do I look for c-body stuff? I am currently looking to find headers and a complete exhaust kit, although, I'll probably have to get that part made, so headers. And then eventually front disc brakes to get rid of the drums, and new wheels (specifically backspacing on wide wheels) so I can put the factory ones in boxes so they they stay pristine.

Hello Marine. No one makes headers for C-body cars, but perhaps someone in this forum can tell you which ones for others cars would fit.
Personally, I have given up on the hope for headers, but I have found some catalogs that offer "shorties" for B-Block Mopars. Those would work. The rest of the exhaust is best handled by a good shop.
There are a number of places to find disk brake conversions for your car. You can try the following:
These will give you an idea of what you are looking for.
As for those wheels, I like American Racing wheels! If you go with 15's, they should fit well, since your car has 14's. If you go with 14's, you run into problems becasue of back spacing.
I put 14" Rallye wheels on a '62 New Yorker. After all, it came with 14's! They were too small and shook my car like a gorilla!

YOU BROKE MY CAR? Snooty you're a dead man. . . . &| (Snooty. . .I like that)
Scott is correct. (Now I went and said Scott was right. . . I won't be able to sleep tonight) I have yet to find anyone that makes headers for C-Bods. Butch had his custom made for his Fury, here is the link. http://www.cbodydrydock.com/forum_viewtopic.php?8.1868.10 You may have to go that route, but frankly, it's going to be expensive.
I can refer you to an outfit that can make you factory bent duals. The fit right too.
Actually, your 64 is a B-Body. An obscure B-Body, which will not help; C's didn't exist until 1965. Start looking at parts for a 64 Fury, they are very popular for racing. 65 B Stuff might work, but there quite a few changes 64-65.

The 64 880 is a "pre" C body. It is the same body as a 62 300 2dr, but 64 had unique quarter pnls. They are the same as 60-64 Chryslers (be careful, 60-62 had 2 wheelbases). TTI makes headers for C bodies, but I don't think they will fit the early car. The cast Iron headers from the 63-64 300 long ram cars fit, and are awesome, but very hard to find and getting pricey. I think it's SSBC that makes a front disk brake kit for your car, a bolt in kit.
You are Correct. 62 Chrysler had 2 wheel bases. The Newport was (I think) 2" shorter. I am pretty sure they used the Newport base for the 880. (Don't have my book handy)
The 880 was in the C body class as it used the Chrysler base frame. B's in the Dodge were the Coronet and the Dart was introduced as an A in 63. Officially, the letter designations were not used until 65, you are correct there. What headers to use are in a gray area. The 64 Plyme, while the full size for Plymouth, was actually their version of a B. Plymouth didn't have a big body until 65. In 64 Plymouth had the Valiant (A) and the Savoy, Belvedere and Furys (B Class)

The wheelbases are four inches differenet - 122 vs. 126. New Yorkers and Imperials had the longer wheelbases, all other (Chryslers) had the smaller. Chrysler would settle on 124 for all models in '65.
Stevo, rememeber those steel Road Wheels on that 62? They stopped the shaking - they are 15's!

Schumacher makes a Tri-Y style header that fits C-body cars. It fits '65-up -- not sure about a 64, but I'm sure you could do some checking on that. I would say that it would, but don't take my word on it. They are great headers though, and somewhat cheaper than the TTIs but still extremely well made.
