Also could be a lost ground on the back of the cluster. The ground wire goes on with a spade connector and tends to slip off. It piggy backs with another ground wire to a device. Color for that wire is black.
And yes, Mech is also correct. Check the bulkhead connector. But the clue is the lights are out

OOPS slap me around. I mis-read ANOTHER thread today. You bring up a good point. Sorry I'm a dunce Forgive me. I guess we have to find out if he checked both sides of the fuse and did he do it with the lights on and/or the key on
Here it sounds like he has a fault on the back of the fuse block or has to be back tracked from there. That would be two different circuits. On coming from the ignition and the other coming from the head light switch. I don't think there are connectors in between the head light switch or after the ignition switch. . . . But checking the wiring on the back of the fuse block is a good start.

THANKS, I'LL TRY THE BULK HEAD CONNECTER FIRST AND LET YOU KNOW IF THAT WORKS OR NOT, PICS COMING SOON THIS IS A 440 AUTO CONSOLE CAR WITH SPECIAL ROSE BOWL BUILD SHEETS.INTERIOR AND TOP FINISHED PAINT JOB TO COME. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW ONE DING IN HOOD, STILL RUNS LIKE A CHAMP AT 115,000 MILES ITS NEVER BEEN RE -BUILT PURRS LIKE A KITTEN. I 'M IN THE PROCESS OF REBUILDING CARB AND THINKING OF SWITCHING OVER TO A ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM. THE TRANS MIGHT OF BEEN REBUILT AS IT HAS NEW PAINT ON IT OTHER WISE ALL STOCK. I NEED NEW PLASTIC FOR THE CONSOLE BASE I WAS TOLD A B- BODY CONSOLE IS THE SAME AND WILL LOOK FOR A REPRODUCTION.
