Hey All, I lurk here every now and then, but I am now in need of c-body info.
I have a 66 Fury III that is being painted and I am getting everything rady for reassembly. I ran into a problem with the rear window glass SS trim. It seems it was near grinding sparks and was pitted badly.
I need to replace this trim but I believe it must be very rare. My back glass is glued in, it does not have the gasket as the front . This make the stainless trim like a b-or e-body. all the salvage yards in magazines and hemmings tell me they do not have it.
Does anyone else with a 65-66 2-door Hardtop Fury/ Monaco/ Polara have this type of SS window Trim?
One word of caution. They are expensive, but their stuff is top shelf. Don't dicker with them on price. You'll do better if you don't.
Send a message, don't call. In your message, ask for Rich. Tell him Steve Hobby from New Jersey sent you. All that will get you is a good answer and a little better service. They won't sell you anything unless it is at least driver quality and will tell you up front. They are a bit slow, be patient. Sometimes it takes them a week or two to reply. Worth the wait.

My only parts car, '66 VIP, is 1800 miles away...any pics of what you need, I could possibly get my father to go take a look at it if you don't have any luck somewhere else...

Thanks guys, These trim pieces seem to be very scarce, I would appreciate any info or leads I can get.
Sport Fury, I will try to post a pic, or I can e-mail pics, but all he has to see is if the back glass has a gasket like the front, If it doesnt have the gasket then it is a glued back glass and should have the correct trim.
