I am looking to put on headers someday. My only fear is I will need something during the install and will have to wait for it to ship. And with my car not fitting in the garage I hate to leave it airborne in the driveway for too long, neighborhood frowns on me for it often enough. I know I can not afford TTI and I already have new pipes run from the manifolds to my side exhaust that I plan to keep. So I will probably get a set of headers that I will have to dent a bit and that will take a day of in and out. reducers to take them from 3 to 2.5 to match existing pipe. and a shop near by to connect them, the drive will be nice. So what else will I need to get or to watch out for or any advice that will make this go well.
Motor mounts, most headers only fit right if the motor is in the right spot. A soggy mount can give you headaches.
Before you break it all down, check to see if you can get ALL the bolts loose on the exhaust manifold, nuthin worse than snapping 6 bolts off in the head and having to drive it to work on Monday. [ Edited Sat Nov 11 2006, 08:17PM ]

This sounds obvious, but make sure you aren't missing any gaskets or bolts. I didn't check properly and found I was a collector gasket missing half way through.
Oh and a BIG hammer !whip
