Well, after taking a break from the wagon and working some overtime, I also took a break from the heat. Rain was the least of my excuses for slacking. Finally got back to working on the links. Had to cut them apart, the Moog bushings have much stiffer shoulders than the PST bushings. Used a hand saw and cut the welds after drilling holes for the bolts in the kit. I don't have a vice secured to a table, so it was pure muscle to get the new bushings over the ends of the bar. A little grease worked well, but I had to pry one link open a bit extra to get it on the bar.
And then of course I put it on upside down the first time, because, why not? That's what I get for waiting six weeks or better for a small job. It's on now, one more thing off the list.
Still dirty as ever, I'll clean it up when the engine gets rebuilt.

Love that car.
Me too! Aren't many wagons I don't like though! I'm confused about one thing; you live in Minnesota, and you took a break from the heat? You'd get nothing done here in AZ, ever!
No, it's not Arizona heat, but it was pushing 100 with high humidity. And I work in the heat, so I wasn't getting any relief if I kept working on it, so I sat in front of a fan instead. Then I just slacked after it cooled down. Plain and simple.
I work better in the heat when I have an AC cooled house to duck into. I'd do okay in AZ when the humidity is low, so maybe during the winter months?
Sometimes, it's the little things. I popped the wiper pivot arm back onto it's stud, and secured the clip that had come off. I also installed new refills I recently got, bought ten sets of ebay for a good price.
Took her out for a shakedown run around the block. My suspension upkeep yielded the expected results, but I need to get it aligned. Not a single noise going over man hole covers.
The carb is all kinds of not right mixed in with hell yeahs. Stumbles on cornering, but will go wide open no problem in straightaways. Kicks down for what a two barrel kicks down for. And at a lower rpm than I expected. Too bad the engine is not on the upside of it's life.
Oil light comes on when not on the throttle, and the engine idles much too high now, but that light was off!
Brake light is constantly on, as is the fuel light, but I just ignore them.
A very unproductive year so far, but it's not over. More test and tune to be had in the coming months before the dreaded storage time approaches.
