Yes, it's done. New pump in and fan and belt installed. Added remaining coolant I had but need to top it off tomorrow. Then take it for a test drive and make sure it's ready for the show on Saturday.
I took it for a spin, I have pressure and no leaks or overheating. I do have intermittent brake lights though. I'll try to fix that before the show. I'll have to turn on my parking lights while brsking if I can't get them to work. Or see if my friends are driving up in a convoy, and have someone follow me.
I didn't make it to the show with the wagon, steering was getting worse, so I decided to not take the chance of something bad happening. I'll fix the steering and a couple other issues in the next two weeks.
Looks like the idler arm may be the reason for the sloppy steering. I'll replace it in the morning and see how that helps. The sway bar bushings need replacement as well.
That was wishful thinking, but the tie rods were crap as well, no biggie. I was having so much fun swinging a BFH under the car with no progress, so I borrowed an air hammer and fork attachment from the shop a few blocks away and popped them off in a few seconds. Gotta love small towns where you know people, and the shop owner is your neighbor. The idler arm is installed, and the tie rods go on in the morning.
Got the sway bar out, but I'll need to replace the links, ones bent and the other one has been welded and isn't as straight as I'd like. I'll see if I can grab a pair from my parts cars tomorrow morning.
Got some links off a car in storage, but decided to spend some time with dogs again. They've been inside a lot the past week and needed to relax outside so I kept it short today on the wagon. I'll install the bushings and bar tomorrow if the rain cooperates.
