25 years ago my dad told me of a 1970 Polara wagon in a local town that was for sale. Being a 70 and white I had little interest. I eventually went over, it was pushed back in the yard and not for sale. Parked under pine trees, the for sale sign on the seat the owner now was gonna keep it. A low optioned 383-2 car with a green interior I moved on . A few years later it was parked in a parking lot, road side with a for sale sign. Now with cancer in a few spots including the tire well and the interior was trashed I wasn't willing to spend the thousand dollars. Another year later it showed up at a local cruise, black primered, red pin striping, skulls hanging from the mirror and green lights inside. About a year later I heard it was for sale again not far away for 2500. I haven't heard about it in a long time since.
I guess all I'm saying is, get the when you see them and yes Wyatt, 15 years earlier would have been optimum for you. They were still around.
I thought the same thoughts as I think Dave is thinking.
I’m 15 years older than Wyatt. I was there, buying and not buying without 15+ years hindsight, cause I was buying and not buying 15, and even 40 years ago.
There’s many, many, I would buy today if I could go back in time, and I’d look even harder than I already was, which was A LOT (I was born in a very small town area - pre internet obviously).
There are some but not that many who can predict the future accurately.
Get what you can when you can, taking advantage of what you’re learned thus far.
Here's My Wagon! it's been nicknamed "The Delano Project" by my peers but i'm not sure i wanna call it that... Here's what I want it to like when I'm "done"
