As previously posted I have pretty much torn the car down to nothing, the top and quarter windows remained. The only reason I left the windows was I couldn't get the bolts that hold the glass out.
The car has been repainted but needs some work on the firewall.
Considering the history of this car I'm surprised there isn't more rust, the plan is to take care of this tomorrow along with full paint of the firewall.
Like the other car I had the frame powder coated and have been getting it together
The plan is to get the engine painted Sunday, if all goes well it will be back in the shop within a couple weeks to get the hood and fenders on and the paint cut and buffed. Lots of parts have been purchased and cleanup on others has been going on. Special projects include; new dash pad, new electrical (aside from dash) and steering wheel restoration.
For the most part the car should go back together pretty quick as much of the work has been done and just needs assembly.

What is the dash pad plan -- Just Dashes, or a donor car?
Edit: I forgot to say, road to perfection indeed
Just dashes is doing the dash pad, I had another core that has been sent to them. The one on the car is a very nice pad but was not redone correctly. It will probably be good enough for someone wanting a good pad that doesn't care about correctness.

Watch it! You're going down Perfection road. You can easily find yourself in a familiar situation.
However, I admire it all.
Not at all, this car will be driven. The level of restoration had nothing to do with not liking to drive the car. My Barracuda has been well used over the last 12 years including 3 trips to Oregon and has some scares hear and there.
My plan is to take this car to Oregon in May. and maybe a much longer trip after that.

The only reason to do these cars to this level is to confidently drive them any where, as if they were new. Great work again Alan, I sure hope you would eventually take that cross country trip to Carlisle some day, I’d like to meet you and your car.

Thank you for the reply. My turquoise 1970 Polara 'vert badly needs a dash pad. Thanks to @71Polara383 I may have found one, but if it does not work out then knowing JD has your seal of approval for correctness is important (I knew from our discussion on the other site that you were happy with their work on the cop car, but this seals the deal).
