The madness begins! Just out running errands today. Had to hit Al’s! Best pastrami in The “D”. Imo.
This was one healthy sounding ‘64.
The scourge of the Dream Cruise in my opinion. Large companies and car clubs take over many of the parking lots for private parties or displays. If one wanted to see an, already recalled new Bronco, just drive two miles down the road to the Ford dealership.
Gotta get that spot early! This is my typical loop. The cruise epicenter, 14 mile to 11 mile.
Guys start reserving spots for tommorrow early. Many sleep in their car overnight!
I’ll wait ‘till dark and make the loop tonight in the Monaco.

I won’t bother on Saturday. The Monaco doesn’t like sitting in traffic with this heat. Been over 90 last couple of days and very humid. Ten minutes in the drive-through lane nearly pegged the temp gauge.
7:30 pm and it’s still 88 deg, humid and traffic creeping along about 15 minutes per mile.

Truthfully I much prefer this kind of cruise-in or show. As the sign says, every Tuesday starting 4 pm spring thru fall. Last Tuesday saw over 520 cars hit the show lot before I left at 6:30 pm with guys still coming in. Good car people, good grub and a rockin permanent sound system bangin out the oldies.
Our local cruise night is a rest stop along the highway every Tuesday afternoon/evening. Management put up signs saying the region's health department has advised that car shows are not permitted due to the Wuhan lockdown (we are in our 4th). I chuckle every time I drive in along with about 150 other cars.
