Lean - that is a good point. The carb was last set in Athol Idaho, elevation 2,390 ft, so Calgary at 3,450 ft would make a difference although it overheated in Idaho as well.
If you are at an even higher elevation now compared to where the carb was dialed in, I would think that it would be richer than it was at the lower elevation. (If memory serves).

I was thinking about you (Fury440) the last couple weeks. I had overheating problems with the Newport. Could not figure out why... But it was the fan clutch. The clutch looked good and sounded ok but was not totally engaging. Swapped them between cars as the ultimate test...and its good now.
